There are lots of crowdsourcing websites available in both the US and Canada. Most of them do require that you are a not-for-profit organization, but I'm sure there are some out there that are not. Requires some research...

You almost got my order right, Bex - it's 4 pumps of that scrumptious Starbucks Toffee Nut syrup. But perhaps you have a point; maybe I should cut back on that sweet stuff. Hope you're doing well, and thanks for the shout out. We should do coffee someday - you can order; but it'll be on me.

Quebec on January 24th, 2012

Hello,

I am a senior professional in the realization of computer systems (more than thirty years in governmental organizations).

I realize a Web site to support the sustainable development. This Web site will facilitate the sharing of the knowledge and the resources concerning the environmental protection. This site will have its customers constituted in particular by municipal organisations, which will be maintained in communications. The citizens can themselves subscribe to it and use it to make edition, conservation and broadcast of the information about projects of sustainable development.

Obviously, quickly my personnal material resources became insufficient! Consequently, why do not to make people participate in this project ?

I thus thought of a continuous process of crowdfunding. However, I would like to give a receipt for tax deduction to the donors. For that purpose, it is necessary would need that my company has the non-profit " status and accredited by the government ". IT WOULD STILL CAUSE ME EXPENSES!

On the other hand, I think that an organisation with existing non-lucrative purpose and accredited by the government, CAN SPONSOR THE REALIZATION OF MY PROJECT!

Like that exist in the USA, there is thus in Canada also?

I would appreciate a lot that we inform me on this subject, most earlier that possible!

Thank you very much,

Jean-Roch Massé

Arrived via Cott Mail :)

Thanks for this; I was on a panel at last year's NAMP Conference about customer service via social media and lots of the panels and speakers spoke on this subject as well. Good to see we're all on the right track and having this conversation!

Someone I know through my network, who's a "social media type" has started a board to which they are pinning infographics. Interesting, hey?
